Mission: As a therapist, my mission is to help individuals find the strength and resources within themselves to improve their emotional well being, enhance their ability to engage in interpersonal relationships, and regain control of their lives.
Style: My approach is solution focused and proactive. Working collaboratively, we will seek to gain insight and confront obstacles to change and develop skills, which will lead to confident decision making and lasting change. I utilize techniques adapted from solution-focused, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral theory, and stay flexible to incorporate findings from cutting edge research to tailor my approach to your unique needs.

Wind, LICSW is the owner and operator of Charter Oak Counseling & Consultation, Inc a counseling and professional consultation service located in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle. After working at several of the northwest's largest hospitals, including Harborview and Providence Medical Center, Heather has years of experience working with individuals facing new challenges and those who have been dealing with the same issues for years without achieving the results and change desired.
Education and Licensure: I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Pomona College in Claremont, California. In May of 2008, I received a Master of Social Work from Boston College. In January of 2012, I became a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Washington (#LW60246270).
